Q: Do you have any special products and deals?

Q: Do you ship to countries outside the UK?
A: Yes! We are integrating overseas delivery into the website on a case-by-case basis, depending on demand. We currently deliver to dozens of countries, including Spain, Canada, USA, Australia and New Zealand. However we can deliver to any country - just drop us an email and we will send you a quote, which you can pay via PayPal. Please note that (outside the EU) you may be liable for import taxes levied by your customs service.

Q: Can you talk me through how to make a purchase on the site?
A: Sure, here goes...

Filling your shopping basket
First of all, browse the site using the links down the left of the page to view the different products. When you find one you like, click on the orange “ORDER” button to the right of the price. (If there isn’t an order button, then unfortunately the product is out of stock). The product will be added to your shopping basket and you will be taken to the basket screen, where you can change the quantity or remove the item if you wish. If you want to add more items, just keep browsing the site using the links on the left as before. When you have finished selecting items, you should find yourself at the shopping basket page. There is also a link to the basket at the top right of the screen, so you can go there at any time.

Checking out: login and address
Click on the “Continue” button while in the basket to proceed to checkout. If you are not already logged in, this will take you to the login screen, where you log in (if you are already registered) or click on “Register & Continue” if you are not yet registered. Please fill in all your details and password on the registration page before pressing “Submit & Continue”.

On the address page, you have the opportunity of selecting a different delivery address – please be sure to select the correct country, as postage costs will be based on the delivery address. On the next page, the delivery costs will be calculated, based on the weight of the items ordered and the destination, and the total cost will be shown. If you are happy with this, then click on “Continue”.

Checking out: Payment
When you reach the payment page, the payment option, PayPal, is pre-selected. You may enter any comments in the comments box. Then click on continue, which will transfer you to the secure PayPal payment site. This usually only takes a few seconds, but sometimes takes a bit longer, so please be patient.

Payment is taken remotely by PayPal, which means that your financial details are kept secure and are not accessible by us. You have the option of logging into your PayPal account, if you have one, or paying with your credit / debit card. In the latter case, please click on the link “Don’t have a PayPal account” towards the bottom of the screen and follow the instructions.

Q: Do you sell wholesale?
A: Yes! Please contact us with your requirements. A minimum order will apply.

Q: Can I buy the candles in person?
A: Yes! We take part in occasional craft fairs in Scotland, where we sell our Borthwick range of candles at extra-special prices. Check out @CJHomeScotland on Twitter to find out what we're doing next!

Q: I found a promo code online but it doesn't work - why not?
A: Promo codes are subject to change without notice and old codes found on the internet may no longer work. When we reduced our basic prices on 7th November 2011, the promo discounts were reduced by the same amount, so the special discounted price remained the same. It may take some time for all the references to this on the web to be corrected. If you have any more questions about promo codes, please get in touch.

Q: Do C&J Home room sprays contain alcohol?
A: Yes, the room sprays were formulated using the principles of perfumery and like most perfumes, they do contain alcohol. The ingredients are: perfumers alcohol, rose water and blended natural absolutes and essential oils. The total alcohol content is 69% alcohol by volume. Alcohol is flammable, so please take appropriate precautions.
